As we have grown, our most sensible approach in providing the greatest chance of enthusiasm with least chance of irrationalism is imperative. The Alpha Kappa Rho Inter-Collegiate Service Fraternity and Sorority have grown to define proficient method of encouraging closeness but not limited to creating an environment called openness.....a nonjudgemental attention that infuses plural relationship to retain Equality, Quality and Solidarity.

As we have outgrown long lasting commitment to the Brotherhood, we rise at our worth and infinite potentials. Anything unexplainable commitment, moral or physical, is incomplete and undone. The privelege to pursue commitment is a meaningful challenge to every Skeptron. Challenging experience may or may not inspire others poetically but experience of any size have a tendency to raise inspiration.

As we have Outgrown some more , it has been largely successful in our regards to what we have gone through as Alpha Kappa Rho International Service Fraternity and Sorority. Wished well or ill as a layman, met hardships as a Member, supported members being a Leader, assured members of success being an Adviser and opposed any foe as a Defender. Our ethic to an ever-widening sphere of responsibility is honorable....a reciprocity of affection by both Skeptrons who recognize in a sense they are of the same literal principle.

Outgrowing more and more has not been ideal for a minute wait. We firmly believe and let all Skeptrons know that the flame of our Brotherhood will stay lit at all time and its glow that warmth our integrity.

L e a d e r s h i p . .

As the case maybe, who would want to be one either in the government or non-government establishment? However, if one desires such position, one must learn the fundamentals of leading or heading an organization, private or public entity. Through the years, Our Founding Fathers had its tastes of what really makes one a good leader.

Psychologically, leadership may be classified into three:

First, those who are called 'a leader'. This type of leader belongs to those who have unsurpassed ability in various fields of endeavors or callings. The best example is Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

The second type falls under ' the leader'. This belongs to one chosen to lead for the reason that, at that time, he or she knows and can offer solution to a given problem.

Third simply falls under ' leader'. Generally, one can be chosen as leader through election as a result of one's popularity and influence over a group of people.

Above the basic criteria of good leadership like credibility, ability to command respect, trainings and skills, decisiveness, effective communication, personality, etc. is the ability to accept people around him that contribute to a large extent in building harmonious relationship in the organization. Accepting people around you is respecting their views, listening to their grievances and negative attitudes. Further, it also means learning to live with their shortcomings.

Somebody says that inside an organization is sometimes likened to a fruit salad.. finding in it complicated people of different personalities, the fact that some of your members are really sweet and cooperative while others appear sour and hard to deal with. A good leader must be ready to face such scenario.

Also, it will mean not limiting your circle of friends to those who have the habit of approving your ideas. It is a fact that some leaders prefer the company of those who always complement you in how you dress, how you speak...etc. over those who always contradict you.

If you belong to the top of the ladder, never use your position to intimidate those you think are below you. Sometimes, you find yourself unhappy with the performance and behavior of your subordinate. Instead of showing them the way through you as an example. With respect to impatient superior, always take it a challenge where you could show your best shot. Complaining brings you nowhere.

Once you learn accepting others for what they are and not for what they have, surely you have given yourself a room to grow. In short, you have become the sweetener or the cream of the organization.

P r i n c i p l e s   a n d   O b j e c t i v e s . .

That to recognized and uphold Philippine Constitution as the Supreme law of the land; all members owe loyalty to the fraternity to which he/she belongs; the fraternity is an instruments that shall develop a members physical, mental, social, cultural, political and spiritual potential to the fullest; Alpha Kappa Rho is a non-stock, non-profit fraternal organizations; promote unity among members and closer relationships and ties among the different chapters in the Philippines.

1. ALPHA KAPPA RHO is a Fraternity and Sorority which believes in Liberty, Equality, the Truth and the Rights of fellow SKEPTRONS
2. Humble and being Humane is a trait that is being instilled in every SKEPTRON.
3. ALPHA KAPPA RHO respects life and the promotion of goodwill between different race, religion and creed.
4. ALPHA KAPPA RHO believes in the equality between the rich and the poor and that there is no rich or poor between SKEPTRONS.
5. ALPHA KAPPA RHO is a Brotherhood of Men and Sisterhood of women in different race, religion and status.
6. ALPHA KAPPA RHO believes in not imposing its will on others.
7. All SKEPTRONS have equal rights and no one is.

T h e   S k e p t r o n ' s   C r e e d . .

Being a Skeptron defines various meanings. We are often the most misused, abuse and misunderstood of other fraternities. Yet, we're always under attack from many quarters of the Greek-lettered fraternities. From the extreme right, comes the scathing charge that Skeptrons are visionary, utopia, impractical, dreamers, and without good common sense. From the extreme left, comes the accusation that Skeptrons are vacillating, incapable of action, weak, full of doubts, compromisers, and insincere. Skeptrons are proud of their enemies.

The charges hurled by both extremes inspire Skeptrons with confidence and hope. The Skeptrons' way is the progressive way, the way of understanding, the way of intelligence, the way of wisdom. A Skeptron is known not only by the friends he has, but by the enemies he makes. So a Skeptron is comforted by the fact that he is dislike by both reactionaries of other Greek-lettered fraternities.

I would define Skeptron as one who fights hard for what he believes in, but concedes to those who disagree wit him, the right to fight in a like manner, as long as they fight fair.

The true Skeptron believes that there is such thing as truth, and that in can best be determined in a free and open contest for the allegiance of men's minds.

The true Skeptron believes while the people may not always be right, they are usually right and that in the end, if the people are given free rein to choose and to select, righteousness, truth, and justice will prevail.

The true Skeptron concedes that he may be wrong, but will fight like fury to prove that he is not wrong.

The true Skeptron believes in progress toward the goal of peace, justice, and freedom. He believes in the greatest good for the greatest number. He believes that men can be led to happiness and to prosperity, but neither terrorized nor driven toward these goals.

The true Skeptron believes in reason and enlightenment rather than in fear or superstition; in judgment rather than in passion; in debate rather than in intrigue.

The true Skeptron believes that the poor must not be oppressed nor must the rich be persecuted. Products for social usefulness rather than for selfish profit are his Creed. Each man should be paid in accordance with his contribution; but each is entitled to a decent livelihood. Each man, woman, and child must have equal opportunity to succeed in life, regardless of sex, or of the social and economic status of his parents.

The true Skeptron does not believe that the common masses should be condemned to a life of poverty or suffering, or that he grants that any of us is endowed by the Creator with superior rights to rule of to prevail. He does not believe that one class be ruled. He believes that one class should rule and another class be ruled.

The true Skeptron believes that government should represent all the people; that while the majority should prevail, the rights of the minority must at all costs be defended. The minority today may be the majority of tomorrow. Skeptrons must tear any insipient stratification of society. There must be no aristocracy of wealth, no being to privilege born.

The true Skeptron is the art of government. It is the art of getting things done by effective leadership and by effective appeal to the people to follow responsible leadership. That is the right kind of being Skeptrons. It is also right that there be an honest, above-board, and straight-forward organization which maintains its integrity by being at all times responsive and responsible to the popular will.

The true Skeptron maintains his inner strength by organic unity. He maintains his power by carrying out the wishes of his fraternity. He must overcome all forces of reaction that continuously obstruct his progress in every direction. His allegiance to Alpha Kappa Rho must first of all to principles, and second, to the men and women who personify those principles. He must build his fraternity around ideas rather than around men.

The true Skeptron stands for Truth. Skeptrons must lead through advocacy of ideas and integrity of character; for no Skeptron is great or good enough to hold a mortgage on other people’s mind, to think for them and decide what is best for them.

I should like to see Alpha Kappa Rho, my fraternity, your fraternity, become the true vehicle of the Skeptrons' Creed. Every principle we hold, every program, every project we favor or advocate subjected to the test of this definition.

Alpha Kappa Rho should be the vehicle carrying out a program rather than be an end itself. To the Skeptrons, the means are as important as the end. The end never justifies the means.

Despite all the bitter accusations made against our beloved fraternity; for hurling the bitterest epithet against us, have slandered and denounced us, have ridiculed and lied about us, still Skeptrons exist and flourish throughout the globe.

W h y   J o i n?

The Alpha Kappa Rho Fraternity and Sorority is the community of doctrinated Skeptrons. Members and every Skeptron within our community respect and celebrate the heritage of community pioneers as well as new community members. We, members are focused in educating, training, guiding and bringing fellow members close together in relation to our Services to God, Country, Parents, school and to the Brotherhood.

It has lightened some layman's curiosity who our members are and what kind of members are we. Our Brotherhood welcomes anyone who identifies their intent to join and enjoy the opportunity to experience how to be called a 'Fellow' to our Brotherhood. We seek to strengthen the connection of the Alpha Kappa Rho heritage patterned from Philippine fraternal atmosphere while traditional groups in the modern world are further developing.

Peculiar Alpha Kappa Rho family circle provides opportunities to a variety of peculiar peaceful Services. It not only draws shared principle to a changing environment but members shared the modest way to adapt the environment. Alpha Kappa Rho is not an expression and neither a signature brand.

It is integral to humanity and not a revert derivative. Its members have the common goal to shape up philanthropy among members according to their evolving individual beliefs and values. In expressing their harmless Mission and peaceful Vision, members themselves take part in the essentials of Social involvement, Civic actions, and Community drives.

Alpha Kappa Rho is belonging.
When you need someone to talk to, you will always find a brother who is genuinely interested and who really cares about what happen to you. You will find a brother who understands that you are only human and are seeking to improve yourself in many ways. You will find a brother who offers to help before you have a chance to ask.

Alpha Kappa Rho is brotherhood.
In a very real sense, the Fraternity creates a family relationship among its members. It aims to bring together a group of young men who will be congenial, loyal, and helpful to one another during some of the best years of their lives. Thus Alpha Kappa Rho offers its members the nearest possible equivalent to home that can be found on the college campus and in the community, and these close ties often bind men in friendships for life.

Alpha Kappa Rho is equality.
Members have full and equal rights in the chapter, including voting privileges and the ability to hold office, attend all meetings and functions, and wear the letters and insignia of the Fraternity. New members are integrated immediately into the chapter.
